Like most local outfitters, Class VI bases its operations out of Fayetteville, which is close to the New River Gorge and about 25 miles south of Summersville and the famous put-in for the Gauley below the Summersville Dam. The Gauley rafting season is for six short weekends from early September until the third weekend in October. Class VI also offers guided mountain biking, fishing, and rock-climbing excursions into the West Virginia's south-central hinterlands.
