Built in 1962 to tell the story of abolitionist John Brown from his boyhood through his 1859 raid on Harpers Ferry to his untimely end at the gallows, the John Brown Wax Museum has a kitschy aura hearkening back to the heyday of wax museums. The history is sketchy in places, but it's a boon for 60's era nostalgia lovers.
