Brushy Hollow Trail is blazed in orange. It is 3.5 miles in length and rather difficult. The elevation gain is about 400 feet making this a challenge particularly along rocky, slender segments. The mountain views are worth the excursion.

Directions: From Clifton Forge, VA, From Clifton Forge, Virginia head east on I-64 to Exit 27. Turn North onto Rt. 629 and travel three miles to the park entrance sign and four more miles to the park office. Beard's Gap Trail starts from behind the park office. Travel Beard's Gap its entire length of 1.1 miles and it dead-ends into Brushy Hollow. The majority of Brushy Hollow's path, including the overlook, is to the right (south).
