  • Learn to sail at Gig Harbor Sailing Club & School. Several classes are available, from very basic skills to advanced coastal navigation.
  • The "Introduction to Sailing" course is really a two-and-a-half-hour tour. You can let the skipper do all the work, but the crew will happily show you the ropes along the way.
  • Any class you choose, from "Basic Keelboat" (includes knots, rigging, sailing language, and parts of the boat) to the most advanced courses will earn you a US SAILING certification. Courses run April to November.
