The Meadow Creek Trail is a more difficult 6.5 mile hike or horseback ride. The first two miles of switchbacks climb through an area burned by a wildfire in 1967. After leaving the burned area, the elevation gain is gradual
and the hiking is easy. Fortune Ponds are the high point on the trail which ends at the abandoned section of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Directions: From Skykomish, Drive 0.5 mile west on U.S. Hwy. 2. Turn north onto the Beckler River Road #65 for 6 miles to the junction with Rapid River Road #6530. Turn right and continue for 3.5 miles to the trailhead.

Elevation Gain: 2,700 feet

Distance: 6.5 miles
