The Marine Ecology Nature Trail is located inside Seal Rock Campground off Highway 101 and is marked with large porcelain enamel signs which interpret the unique marine ecology of Hood Canal. You will learn how the forest, intertidal zone, and salt water of Hood Canal provide special habitat for the shell fish and marine animals.

The Marine ecology trail has a "difficult" level due to a maximum grade of nine percent. The trail surface is a combination of asphalt pavement and board walk. Visitors can explore the rocky beach which is not accessible to wheelchairs.

There are vault and flush toilets, a large parking lot, and over 40 campsites at Seal Rock Campground.

Directions: From Brinnon, Travel north for 2 miles on US Highway 101.
