The Upper Mad Lake Trail provides access to the Mad Lake and Blue Creek areas from Mad Lake and Shepito Trails. The trail access four lakes in total, plus many alpine meadows. There is a seasonal closure to horses, and bikes until after the 15th of July. This may be extended due to wet conditions. The area a quarter mile on each side of the trail is closed to off trail travel by motorbikes.

Directions: From Entiat, Access from either Mad River #1409 or Shepito #1429 Trail.

Distance: 12.2 miles
