This short spur trail of moderate grade leads from Lake Julius to Loch Eileen in the Scottish Lakes area south of Lake Wenatchee and Highway 2. Campfires are prohibited in the Wilderness east of the Cascade Mountain Crest at all destinations over 5,000 feet. This includes Lake Julius, Lake Ethel, Lake Donald, and Lock Eileen. An Alpine Lake Wilderness permit is required for use. These are available at the trailhead.

Directions: From Lake Wenatchee, Follow directions to the Lake Ethel Trailhead. Hike into Lake Ethel (4.5 miles) and the Upper Roaring Creek junction. Take the Upper Roaring Creek Trail to the junction with Loch Eileen Trail, located just east of Lake Julius.

Elevation: 5,100 feet

Ending Elevation: 5,500 feet

Elevation Gain: 400 feet

Distance: 1.2 miles
