Heather Lake is a popular day hike west of Lake Wenatchee. The grade is moderate to steep leading into Heather Lake, a 3.3 mile trip. There is a creek crossing located one mile from the trailhead which may be hazardous early in the season. Campfires are prohibited at Heather Lake and at Glasses Lake. Both lakes lie within wilderness and trails are open to hikers only.

Directions: From Lake Wenatchee, Take National Forest Road 65 west to Forest Service Road 6701. Turn left onto 6701 and continue on this road. Approximately one mile beyond the Theseus Creek Campground, take a left at the "Y" onto Forest Service Rd 400 and follow for 2 miles to the trailhead.

Elevation: 2,700 feet

Ending Elevation: 4,000 feet

Elevation Gain: 1,300 feet

Distance: 3.3 miles

Usage: Heavy

Difficulty: Moderate/Strenuous
