Located northwest of Leavenworth on the Stevens Pass Highway, Chiwaukum Trail offers 12 miles of scenic hiking and horseback riding in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. After parking off of the highway, you will need to hike about one and a half miles on through private property to reach the beginning of the trail at the Wilderness boundary. The trail passes through pine and Douglas fir forests.

Directions: From Leavenworth, Travel 12 miles (north) west on Highway 2. Turn off just past Tumwater Campground and hike 1.5 miles on road through private property to the beginning of the trail at the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Boundary.
