The Quechee Gorge is Vermont's longest and most famous gorge. It is a mile long chasm with a 200 foot drop, and can be seen entirely from the Vermont Route 4 highway bridge. The Ottauquechee River cuts through the gorge, which also features a number of hiking trails and small cascades. Also inside the gorge is Quechee State Park, which features campgrounds and picnic areas.
