This trail begins a 7.75 mile loop linking the Falls of Lana Picnic Area, Rattlesnake Point, Mt. Moosalamoo and Moosalamoo Campground. From the parking lot, bear left to reach the Falls of Lana Picnic Area. From the picnic area, this trail first passes the lower end of the Aunt Jenny Trail then passes the junction with the North Branch Trail. After climbing for about 1 mile and after passing the upper end of the Aunt Jenny Trail, it forks to the left which is to the right of Oak Ridge Trail. The trail forks again. Left, leads to the south Rattlesnake Cliff with a spectacular view of Lake Dunmore and Branbury State Park with New York's Adirondacks in the distance. The right fork leads to a smaller west-facing set of cliffs. From March to August some of the trails in the area are closed due to the nesting peregrine falcons.
