In summer, the hills at Solitude come alive with hikers, mountain bikers, and disc golfers. Sunrise lift operates Wednesday to Sunday, providing a quick and easy ride to the heights. Hikers can head to Solitude and Honeycomb Canyons, both with fanciful geological features and mining artifacts. Mountain bikers have the easy 2.7-mile Roundhouse Trail (mostly doubletrack) that connects the upper and lower ends of Sunrise lift. For singletrack, try the intermediate Link and Serenity trails or the advanced Kruzer, all of which branch off Roundhouse. Doubletrack adventures include the tops of Summit and Powderhorn lifts and Silverfork Canyon. You can rent mountain bikes and small-wheeled mountain scooters. The 18-hole, par 3 disc golf course starts near the top of Sunrise lift and ends near its base; a beginner rental package includes all you need to get started.
