The Grandeur Peak Trail is a 3.4 mile hike or backcountry ski trail and ends at the summit of Grandeur Peak. The summit of Grandeur Peak offers a view of the Salt Lake Valley and a large portion of the Wasatch Front from Neff's Canyon on the south to Francis Peak on the north. This trail is open for a great part of the winter, and can be hiked nearly year round. The trail begins at the end of the road at Church Fork Picnic Area. Parking is limited at the end of the road. Parking is not allowed in the spots for the picnic sites. Additional parking is available on Mill Creek Canyon Road. The trail follows Church Fork Creek for about 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile. The trail narrows and then you follow a few switchbacks. The trail passes through a rock field, follows parallel to the ridge line for awhile and leads straight to Grandeur Peak.

Dogs are allowed in Mill Creek Canyon but must be kept on a leash at all trail heads and developed sites including the parking areas.

Directions: From Salt Lake City, Follow Mill Creek Canyon Road (3800 South Wasatch Blvd.) about 3 miles up the canyon to Church Fork Picnic Area. Take the road in the picnic area to the end and follow Church Fork Trail 3.4 miles to Grandeur Peak Summit.
