An extensive network of trails runs up the canyons and ridges from Snowbird and descends on the other side into Mineral Basin. Snowbird Tram and the Peruvian Express lift let hikers start from the heights. The Wildlife Interpretive Trail is an easy one-mile round-trip between Snowbird Plaza and an observation deck overlooking Gad Valley; the elevation gain is only 50 feet and the path is wheelchair accessible. Challenging trails open to both hikers and mountain bikers climb valleys and ridges for spectacular views. Hikers have exclusive use of some trails, including the Mineral Basin trails and several lofty paths that begin near 11,000-foot Hidden Peak.
