This a natural site of national and international importance. Champ-Pittet is unspoiled nature at your feet. Between the flooded forests and the woodland ponds are rare, glutinous alder plantations, fields of knotted rushes and floating patches of beautiful white water-lilies. Approximately two hundred different species of birds have been spotted here, 70 of which breed in the area.
