If you want to escape the sun and heat for a bit, head to this rather good aquarium, open year-round (unlike many other attractions in the Costa del Sol). Featuring more than 500,000 liters of water, you can meet and greet more than 5,000 different creatures. Most of them come from local waters and include sharks, sunfish, and rays that swim around a walk-through glass tunnel. Also on display is some unique sea life from around the world, including a giant pacific octopus, coconut crabs, and mantis shrimp. The aquarium is also home to species from the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans, and even creatures normally found in the Red Sea and the Amazon. They've also recently expanded their freshwater fish from Asia. Every day at 12:30 p.m., you can watch them feed the sharks, turtles, and piranhas.
