One of the more famous ways to cruise around Durban, this luxury charter yacht is a gorgeous 56-foot, 25-ton traditional sailing vessel operating out of Durban Harbour. The outfit is owned and operated by a friendly local couple that does a number of tours around the area, including sunset champagne sails, sunrise coffee sails, dolphin-spotting tours, and even memorial and ash-spreading ceremonies. With a top speed of ten knots, it's a dramatic and fun way to take in the breadth of the coastline, and children are most welcome. The owners also operate the equally traditional four-room African Queen B&B in Pinetown, just outside of Durban.
