The trail is open to hiker, horseback, mountain bike, and motorcycle. User can expect heavier use during hunting season.

Directions: From Pendleton, OR, Follow Interstate-84 east for 33 miles to the Summit Road/Mt. Emily Exit #243. Turn east on Forest Service Road #31 for 12.5 miles to Forest Service Road #3113. Turn left and go one mile to Summit Guard Station. Trailhead is across the road to the right.

Elevation: 2,350 feet

Ending Elevation: 5,000 feet

Elevation Gain: 2,650 feet

Distance: 6.2 miles

Usage: Light

Difficulty: Strenuous
