Sprawling over 17 acres, this impressive ocean theme park harbors aquariums presenting more than 20 aquatic ecosystems. It also has seal tanks, alligator pools, an animal rehabilitation center, a domed "planet awareness" center, tropical bird shows, birds of prey shows, and of course the requisite dolphin shows and swim-with-dolphins program. There's also a "4-D" environmental movie and fun rides like a mini roller coaster, a Ferris wheel, a flume ride, and a rocking pirate boat. The park hosts a variety of educational programs for children and families. It opened in 1991 and is modeled after a similar theme park in Italy owned by the same company.
