Grassy Top is a steady, uphill hike (if done from north to south) through the area east of Sullivan Lake near the border with Kaniksu National Forest in Idaho. At some points the grade is very steep. There are no developed campsites either at the trailheads or along the trail itself. Water is available only within 3/4 miles of either trailhead.

This trail is one of many that can be combined for a more lengthy trip.

Directions: From Sullivan Lake, From the south, take Forest Service Rd 1935 off of Hwy. 9345 to Forest Service 030. Turn up 030 and follow for a short distance to the southern trailhead. There is parking for 3 vehicles here.

Elevation: 5,400 feet

Ending Elevation: 5,000 feet

Elevation Gain: 400 feet

Distance: 7.8 miles

Difficulty: Strenuous
