This five mile round trip ascent of Hall Mountain is primarily a moderate grade with some short, steep sections. There is one established campsite just opposite of the junction of trail 540 with 588 near the beginning of the hike. Take a right at this junction to continue up to Hall Mountain.

Directions: From Sullivan Lake, Take Forest Service Rd 22 to Johns Creek Rd 500. Travel up Rd 500 for 7 miles to the trailhead. (Road 500 open to motorized vehicles only from July 1 to August 14).
