The majority of trails in this system are located off the top of Chewelah Mountain and tie into existing roads which in turn connect back to the ski lodge located off the Flowery Trail Road. The management of Forty-Nine Degrees North Ski Area maintains these trails and is responsible for grooming them for Nordic skiing.
In winter, a small fee is charge to ride Chair One to the summit to access the trails. For summer use, trails can be accessed via connecting roads. Views from the top of the mountain are beautiful.
Persons interested in using these trails should call the ski area at 509-935-6649 for current trail conditions and grooming schedules.
