• Both First and Second Cathedral dive sites are best for intermediate to advanced divers. Both are cavern/lava tube dives. Marine life is abundant, but it may be the sunlight streaming through holes in the cavern ceiling—the sight that gave the location its name—that is the most awe-inspiring.
• This is definitely one of Lanai's must-do dive sites, and often a destination for Maui-based dive companies, too.
• There are several rooms and passageways. Caution: some areas may be off limits during surges, so always check with your dive guide before heading off, and be especially cautious in shallow areas where there are surges.
