- The oft-photographed sea cliffs that define the Na Pali Coast rise straight up from the beaches and valleyssome of them 4,000 feet up. Even diehard world travelers cannot help but be impressed with their powerful and mystical beauty.
- There are several ways to see the Na Pali Coast: By hike, by kayak, by tour boat, or by helicopter. The first two require a level of physical fitness and familiarity with the outdoors. The second two require nothing but a good camera (and something to protect it from spray if you're on a boat).
- The famous 11-mile-long Kalalau Trail is the hiker's entry to Na Pali Coast State Park. It starts at Ke'e Beach but you don't have to hike the whole trail. It's a four-mile round trip to Hanakapai Beach, doable for most folks with some hiking experience. Only very experienced backpackers should go further.
