• Kalihiwai is a north shore beach fronting the bay. A stream divides the beach, and ironwood trees shade picnickers and families without blocking the ocean breeze and views.
• In summer this is a good beach for swimming; in winter bring your surfboard.
• There are no facilities of any kind and no lifeguards, so bring what you'll need—especially drinking water and sunscreen—and take precautions when you're in the water.
