  • The beach is located off Kawaihae Harbor, protected by a reef and the harbor's breakwater. The result is tame water, usually calm enough for swimmers of all ages. Snorkeling's not the greatest, however, due to the beach's proximity to the harbor, which clouds the water.
  • Facilities include restrooms, showers, picnic areas, BBQ grills, and shaded grassy areas. Lifeguards keep a close watch on the water.
  • Access the park off Highway 270 between Mile Markers #2 and #3.
