The Yakima Area Arboretum is a living museum and botanical garden. Located on the northeast corner of Interstate 82 and Nob Hill Boulevard, the grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk. The Jewett Visitor Center is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Yakima Area Arboretum's mission is to create and share a living museum of botanical specimens, which cultivate a knowledge and appreciation of native and adaptive plants in an atmosphere of beauty, inspiration, and relaxation.
