• Fine, soft sand, plenty of room, and proximity to the Newport Pier makes this a beach for sunbathers, swimmers, and surfers year-round.
• Parking is very limited and unless you arrive early you may not get a spot, meaning you'll have to carry surfboards or other gear a few blocks or more. Be prepared to pay a fee for parking.
• Facilities include restrooms, picnic tables, fire pits, and there are lifeguards on duty. Surfers should check with lifeguards on ocean conditions before heaing out to the waves.
