This serene bay is actually an estuary of the Yaquina River, so the bay is protected from ocean swells and the water is flat. Try to bargain for wholesale prices on fresh fish and crab. This bay is home to one of Oregon's largest commercial fishing fleets and to recreational crabbers. Come to watch, or participate in, races and regattas, both of which are popular here.
