Calf Lake Trail offers a side trip from the better known Shackleford Trail. This trail accesses small but attractive lakes situated high in very rugged terrain. Lightly used, this trail ends just below Calf Lake. From here, the ABC Lakes, considered a "discovery" opportunity, can be reached via difficult cross country access.
