Old Growth Trails ideal for all age groups, offers spectacular views of an old growth forest and is equipped with interpretive signs to enhance your knowledge of the forest. You can do a loop by returning on a barrier-free
portion of the Lake Shore Trail.
Directions: From Hood River, Travel south on Hwy. 35 for about 13 miles to Woodworth Road. Travel west on Woodworth Road three miles to Dee Highway (281). Turn right on Dee Hwy. for about 5 miles to the Dee Hardboard plant. Turn left, drive across bridge, stay left and follow signs to Lost Lake. This trail may be reached from Hwy. 26 by turning left onto Lolo Pass (Rd. 18) then turning right on Rd. 1810 at the top of the pass. Rd. 1810 returns to Rd. 18 after 4 miles and you continue to the junction of Rd. 13. Turn left and follow Rd. 13 to Lost Lake. This trail starts at the day use parking lot.
