• Oregon's Highway 101 is part of the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway and serves as the main north-west travel corridor through the coastal portion of the Siuslaw National Forest.
• Besides panoramic views of the ocean and Oregon's amazing sand dunes, the drive provides great looks at spruce and fir forests and access to great hikes and tidepooling.
• Drive highway 126 from Eugene to the coast to access some of Siuslaw's great hikes, including the Lily Lake, Sutton, and Alder Dune trails.
