The Mudchute Park and Farm was established by the local island community. Originally a piece of derelict land created during the last century from the spoil from the construction of Millwall Dock, the Mudchute is now the largest urban farm in London. The facilities at the farm include The Mudchute Equestrian Centre, a cafe, a shop, an education center, and lots of animals.

  • This huge urban farm has woods and hedges around it, making it seem to be a bit of English countryside right in the city. It's a great place to pet animals, walk and picnic. There is no admission charge, but the park depends on public donations so they are encouraged.
  • Animals include goats, sheep, pigs, horses, cows, ducks, geese, llamas, and dogs. It's also a habitat for butterflies and birds.
  • In addition to the park and farm there's an equestrian center offering riding and lessons; there's also a cafe and shop.
