Despite its name, this cozy little bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling—and it's very safe. The scenic beach can be a bit rocky in parts, but the beachfront restaurants can help wile away the day. You can snorkel the coral reef either off the jetty or directly from the beach itself, and it's also an easy and calm place to learn how to scuba dive. Water sports like waterskiing and wakeboarding are also available. More interestingly, there are often camels parked right on the beach for tourists to ride and get their pictures taken on. There is a small fee to enter the beach and use the sun beds. Sharks Bay is lined with a handful of hotels (including a Hilton) that offer great ocean views.
