Perched above the bar of the same name (and theme), Jailhouse puts you in one very gay prison, where waiters donned in police uniforms take the orders rather than give them. It might sound scary on a few different levels, but somehow the Danes make it work. It manages to be naughty and sexy, campy and fun, and even classy and tasty all at the same time. The fare is classic Danish—think red meats, fish, cheese and dark breads—with a dash of modern flair. After dinner, head down to Jailhouse Bar, the leather-friendly hangout where the penal premise is carried even further, complete with barred windows and simulated cells.
