A major player on Copenhagen's gay scene, Oscar is a busy meeting ground for queer locals of all ilks, all afternoon and well into the night. Just a block off Copenhagen's Rådhuspladsen (aka City Hall Square), Oscar opens at noon daily, serving simple but fairly excellent café food until 10 P.M., as well as coffee, beer, and cocktails until 2 A.M. A variety of seating options keeps things interesting, while the very friendly and not at all unattractive staff keep things lively. Happy hour is daily from 5 to 9 P.M., and DJs spin on Friday evenings.
