Dating from the early 1600s, Rosenborg was the official royal residence for about a century. Since then, it's served as a sort of glorified storage unit for the Danish royal family, housing everything from kingly minutiae to the stunning crown jewels. After touring the castle, take a stroll in the truly lovely Kongens Have (King's Garden, also called Rosenborg Garden) that lies just beyond.
