Editor Tips & Helpful Hints
  • In many ways this museum is quite daring, facing the island's complex history with the slave trade and colonization directly. For that reason alone, it should be explored.
  • Housed within the larger Hotel Kura Hulanda, the property itself is beautiful, and worth exploring. Expect to find little cafes nestled in garden-rich squares and a scattering of nice African-inspired sculptures.
