• Visit the heart of several natural properties at the Flanders Nature Center, totaling nearly 1900 preserved acres. Seasonal educational programs and events are held at the nature center for kids and adults alike.
• Explore the hiking trails, maintained on two properties. The Van Vlek Farm Sanctuary has a network of paths winding through 200 acres of old farm and pond environments. The Whittemore Sanctuary has more hills and is larger, at 600 acres.
• Check out the farm museum to learn about old-time New England farming life. Numerous implemented artifacts from days gone by add a visual component to the learning experience.
