Parks and OutdoorsExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
- Visit the birthplace of basketball, named after the founder of the sport James Naismith. To say this place is interactive is an understatement. Basketball is front and center not only in history but in actuality. Tournaments, clinics and other games are played here.
- It is a sports museum and a fine one at that. See the displays about the Hall of Fame basketball players, all 258 of them, and special teams as well. A basketball junkie will be amazed at the memorabilia.
- The museum is state-of-the-art. Special events include the yearly enshrinement of new members, which occurs annually. Restaurants and gift shops are on-site so you can take a little bit of the museum home with you.
