This 2 mile trail passes through open country with moderate to steep hills. Self-guiding leaflets are available at the trailhead or at the Quarry Visitor Center. Geology and plant life of the Split Mountain area are featured. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours to walk this trail.
Directions: From Jensen, Take 149 north into the National Monument, continue past the Dinosaur Quarry to the Split Mountain Campground.
