This trail follows an old road out of Hessie, across Middle Boulder Creek, to the junction of King and Devils Thumb Lakes Trail. Stay right on the old road following Devils Lake Trail to its intersection with Woodlands Lake Trail. Woodland Lake Trail branches to the left. For an extended hike, you can take the Devils Thumb Lake Trail #902.
