This trail south of Idaho Springs begins at the Echo Lake Campground and leads to Resthouse Meadows, in the Mount Evans Wilderness. The trail is relatively easy except for the last mile which is fairly steep, narrow and rocky. Portions of the trail travel through an old burn, which offers good views of the surrounding mountains. The meadow has several beaver ponds and when in season, many wildflowers. The traveler can also reach Lincoln Lake, Beaver Meadows, and Beartrack Lakes from this trail.

Directions: From Idaho Springs, Travel 14 miles south on highway 103 to Echo Lake Campground. The trail begins at the campground.
