The trailhead begins at the Rainbow Lakes campground. It runs for 1 mile to 8 small lakes. Principally a fishing area. Rainbow Lakes offers developed camping facilities for family and group use. The eastern end of the Arapaho Glacier Trail begins here.
Directions: From Nederland, Travel CO 72 between north towards Ward to CR #116. Take CR #116 to the Rainbow Lakes Campground.
