The Arapaho Pass Trail, #6, is located east of Granby in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. It leads from Monarch Lake, up the heavily forested Arapaho Creek drainage, and over Arapaho Pass. The trail passes Caribou Lake as it reaches timberline. The pass offers an incredible vantage point for viewing the surrounding area. Travelers can continue down the east slope of the divide to the Fourth of July Trailhead.

This trail is located within the Indian Peaks Wilderness - regulations apply. A permit is required for overnight users between June 1 and September 15.

Directions: From Granby, Follow Highway 40 west to Highway 34. Go north on Hwy 34 to Forest Road 125, on the south end of Lake Granby. Follow 125 east to the Monarch Lake Trailhead. Hike the Southside Trail around Monarch Lake to the Arapaho Pass Trail.
