The terminus of Four Mile Overlook Trail, number 44, lies nine miles southwest of the park visitor center. To access this trail leave the visitor center parking lot on Rock Pond Trail, number five. Follow this trail for approximately one mile to a point where the trail splits. Here Four Mile Overlook leads to the left. The trail descends slowly for the next three and a half miles to the overlook. The scenic vista provides views of the Four Mile Creek drainage, Pikes Peak and Sheep Nose, to the east, and Dome Rock, Sheep Rock, Sangre de Cristo Range, the Mosquito Range and the Sawatch Range, to the west. The trail terminus lies at an approximate elevation of 9,000 feet.
Directions: From Visitor Center, At the east end of the visitor center parking lot is the Rock Pond Trailhead. Follow this trail approximately one mile to a split in the trail, where Four Mile Overlook Trail leads to the left.
