Built in less than a year, Royal Gorge Bridge overlooks the rolling Arkansas River. Park visitors can enjoy the bridge in a number of ways, walking its length or taking a less conventional approach. The Royal Rush Skycoaster and Sky Coast bungee showcase the spectacularly engineered bridge from above, while a raft along the river's course provides yet another angle.

Rainy days are few and far between here—a bonus for bikers, hikers, rock climbers, and horseback riders. The outdoor opportunities are endless, but most come to Royal Gorge ready to raft. Half- and full-day trips rush through the confines of the gorge and under the bridge on Class III-IV rapids.
