The Art & Pumpkin Festival is a popular celebration held every October in Half Moon Bay, the Pumpkin Capital of the World. The festival features pumpkin carving and pie-eating competitions, Halloween costume contest, haunted house, Great Pumpkin Parade, giant pumpkin weigh-off, home-style food, harvest-inspired arts and crafts, and three stages of blockbuster entertainment. More than 250 artists and craftspeople based throughout the West display their work at the festival.
