BeachExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
  • Visitors come to Pismo State Beach to hike, surf-fish, and dig for Pismo clams, among other activities. There's also a nature center that offers a long list of guided walks and talks.
  • This park actually has Wi-Fi, and though nature is better enjoyed without an awkward laptop in tow, you can use the handy Internet service to check nature center offerings at Central Coast Natural History Association.
  • If you can't decide between the beach and golf, there's good news: Pismo Beach State Park has its own 9-hole, par-3 golf course. When you finish playing, grab a bite at the nearby seafood restaurant.
